Arriving by car

Arriving from the south: Take the B299 to the Waldsassen border crossing, continue on the Czech A214 towards Eger, take the E48 to Karlovy Vary and then take the A25 to the Gottesgab border crossing to Oberwiesenthal.


Arriving from the Berlin area: Take the A13, A9 and A4 motorways to Chemnitz, then continue on the B95 directly to Oberwiesenthal.

Getting there by bus and train

Take the Deutsche Bahn train via Chemnitz or Flöha to Cranzahl station. From there, the narrow-gauge railway takes you directly to Oberwiesenthal.


Alternatively, bus 210 runs several times a day from Chemnitz main station to the spa town.

Electric car charging at the hotel

A charging station with a 22 kW charging capacity (model eMH3 Twin) is available directly in front of our hotel. Two vehicles can be charged simultaneously at 11 kW each. Charging time varies depending on battery capacity and is typically 2–4 hours. It is operated by ENGIE Germany – a leading provider of Europe-wide charging solutions. Common charging cards are accepted, and the network is constantly expanding.

  • How do I reach the hotel by car?

    From the direction of Berlin, via the A13, A9 and A4 motorways to Chemnitz, then the B95 road directly to Oberwiesenthal. From the south, via the B299 road and the Czech border (E48, A25). Oberwiesenthal is easily accessible all year round.

  • How much does parking at the hotel cost?

    Outdoor parking spaces cost EUR 8 per night from April to November and EUR 14 per night from December to March, motorcycles EUR 4 per night. Garage spaces are available on request from EUR 25 per night.

  • Is there a charging station for electric cars?

    Yes, a 22 kW charging station (eMH3 Twin) for two vehicles at the same time (11 kW each), operated by ENGIE Deutschland. Common charging cards are accepted (including DKV, EnBW, E.ON, Shell, Ionity, EweGo). A charging cable is not provided; charging takes 2 to 4 hours depending on the battery.

  • How do I get to Oberwiesenthal by train?

    By Deutsche Bahn to Cranzahl station, then by the historic narrow-gauge railway (Fichtelbergbahn) on to Oberwiesenthal.

  • Is there a bus connection to the hotel?

    Yes. Bus route 210 runs from Chemnitz central station. In addition, FlixBus offers more than 10 direct connections, including from Berlin and Dresden, from EUR 8.48.

  • How far is it from the hotel to the ski slopes and hiking trails?

    The ski slopes at the Fichtelberg are just around 200 m from the hotel, and numerous hiking and cycling trails start right outside the door.
